TURN HEADS WHILST TURNING PAGES

Whether you’re looking to get a booklet printed for yourself or your customer, Real Print has you covered. Our on-demand custom booklet printing service means you can print your own booklets on state-of-the-art machinery while also benefiting from the skills and care that we put in.

We offer two binding options for your personalised booklets:

Staple bound - also known as saddle stitching, this small booklet printing service sees multiple pages bound together along the fold with two staples. This type of booklet is known for its versatility and is ideal for booklets, catalogues, lookbooks, menus and more. Staple binding is typically used when the booklet features over eight pages because the staples need to be bound to multiples of four. Staple binding is ideal for everything from short, medium to long length booklets of around 40 to 60 pages, anything more and you will require a perfect bound booklet. A4 and A5 stapled booklet printing are the most popular size choices.

Perfect bound - this type of booklet features a flat spine and is able to feature up to 200 pages. Pages are glued together, in place of staples, with the cover placed over and around it. Perfect bound booklets are tailored for large manuals, sketchbooks, notepads and anything that has a high page count. Silk paper is commonly used in perfect bound books to give it that professional, sleek finish. Top tip: If you want your booklet to be read over and over, or are looking for a finish that delivers that bit extra when it comes to visual impact, then we recommend adding gloss or matt lamination to the outer cover. For a subtle but eye-catching effect, why not combine matt lamination with gloss spot UV varnish? Both binding types come with their own unique advantages, your choice simply depends on the type of booklet you require. As always, are team are here to offer their helpful advice.

The Benefits of Perfect Binding

There are a number of benefits that come with perfect binding, but one that may surprise you is the price. Perfect binding is very affordable and our rates are a fraction of typical hardcover binding costs. Our printing methods allow customers to have their designed booklets printed at the highest quality at an affordable price. As perfect binding creates a spine, it allows room for author and publication titles (if required) to be printed along it.

The Benefits of Staple Binding

Again, a major benefit of saddle stitching is the price. The technique of binding several pages together via saddle stitching (in multiples of four) makes it a cost-effective option for customers looking for quality on a tight budget. Staple-bound booklets are also durable and versatile, meaning they’re appropriate for almost any industry and any purpose. The turnaround time for creating staple-bound booklets is also very fast.

Bleed

Bleed is an essential note to factor in if you want every booklet to be printed according to your exact requirements. With that in mind, we always recommend at least 3mm bleed on all trimmed edges. This means there will be no white edges once your booklet pages are trimmed to size and your design will look flawless.
